Carol Callens is from the Bay Area and attended CSU Chico where she earned dual bachelor’s degrees in English and Multicultural Gender Studies. Prior to joining UC Berkeley Carol worked in mental health, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking advocacy. Carol has worked as a facilitator of campus diversity trainings, sexual assault crisis intervention trainer, and community advocate. She is passionate about social justice, eliminating all forms of oppression, and helping communities impacted by violence create positive and lasting change. In her free time she loves to read, watch live theater, and hike.
