Mariana is a Louisiana native, who loves baseball, yoga and backpacking. In 2011, Mariana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with minors in business communication, history and early childhood development and family studies. After running her own daycare and volunteering with the local crisis shelter, her passion grew to help prevent sexual and relationship violence and educate both her campus and community on trauma-informed response practices. In 2013, Mariana completed her studies at WVU and received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Healthcare Administration with a focus on organizational development. She most recently worked at West Virginia University where she served as the Assistant Director of Prevention Education. In her free time, you can find her riding her bike, cooking a new dish, or walking the Bay with her son, Julian and dog, Finnegan O’Reilly.
