CARE Certificate Leadership Program
Join the PATH to Care Center for this exciting training opportunity for the UC Berkeley campus community to gain valuable skills and tools to prevent and respond to violence and harm. The 5-hour training, launching in fall 2019, is designed for people wanting to gain strategic knowledge and skills to contribute to an inclusive and violence-free environment campus culture, as well as those wanting to serve as allies for the PATH to Care Center and ambassadors for their respective communities. The CARE Certificate training builds participants’ leadership skills through: the awareness and practice of bystander intervention strategies, addressing sexual violence and sexual harassment through an intersectionality and social justice lens, understanding the impact of sexual violence and sexual harassment and support resources for survivors, and by interrogating attitudes and beliefs that normalize violence. By completing this training program, participants will earn a certificate demonstrating their commitment as leaders to sexual violence and sexual harassment violence, equity, and survivor support in the workplace and classroom, and across campus.
